The 3-month Open Source Contribution Program, best for trying hands-on technical project contribution world.

LGM-SOC

LGM — SOC is an online program designed to encourage student participation in open source software development under the guidance of mentors from the open-source community. The main motto of the program is to empower the student community by teaching and mentoring. With more than 4000 participants, 100+ highly skilled mentors, and 60 projects from varied domains to contribute this program was completed in August.

My Experience

I’ve participated in a project which contains all the Competitive programming questions and Interview questions. The main aim of the project was to help students who are preparing for the coding interview. That contains questions from popular coding platforms including Hackerank, Codechef, LeetCode, Codeforces, GeeksforGeeks, and many more.

I did add many DSA based issues in that project and solutions also. I solved most of the problems using the C++ language. I have contributed to a few web development based projects related to Javascript and Reactjs. Working with a team, addressing programming problems, getting solutions, all these things bettered me to earn more understanding of data structures and algorithms. In the meantime, I examined a lot about the various algorithms and kept building my ratings in competitive programming platforms. So, it has become one of the best utilization of my time during the break. I’m really interested to participate in added programs directed by Let’s Grow More.
